This Privacy Policy describes how SongDeck by Rahul Saj Ekka ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the SongDeck mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). By using SongDeck, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Information you provide directly:

• Email address (used for account creation, login, and waitlist sign-up)
• Song content you create — titles, artists, chords, lyrics, keys, capo settings, and tempo
• Setlists and band information you create within the app
• Band names and invite codes you generate

Information collected automatically:

• Device information such as device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers
• App usage data such as features accessed, screens visited, and time spent in the app
• Crash reports and error logs to help us diagnose and fix technical issues
• IP address and general location data derived from your network connection

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the SongDeck Service
• Sync your songs and setlists securely across your devices
• Enable band collaboration features including shared songs and setlists
• Send you important updates about the app, including launch notifications if you joined the waitlist
• Respond to your support requests and questions
• Analyse usage patterns to improve features and performance
• Diagnose technical problems and prevent abuse

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your song content for advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database platform, on servers located in the Asia South (Mumbai) region. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and row-level security policies to protect your data.

Your song library is stored locally on your device first and synced to the cloud when you are online. This means your songs remain accessible even without an internet connection.

While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

• With band members: When you share a song or setlist with your band, band members can view that content within the app
• With service providers: We use Supabase to store and manage data on our behalf, under strict data processing agreements
• For legal reasons: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and song library within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

Waitlist email addresses are retained until the app launches or until you request removal, whichever comes first.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: Request that we delete your account and associated data
• Portability: Request your song data in a portable format
• Withdrawal of consent: Opt out of non-essential communications at any time

7. Children's Privacy

SongDeck is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Third-Party Services

SongDeck uses the following third-party services which have their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
• Google Play — app distribution on Android (policies.google.com/privacy)

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification.

Your continued use of SongDeck after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
